Gwendolyn Crumpton, MS, EDS, LPC

Gwendolyn Crumpton is a Licensed Professional Counselor who offers individual therapy for adults and children, as well as family therapy at Birmingham Counseling and Wellness. She specializes in relational issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, parenting, adjustment/life changes, substance abuse, and issues related to having an intellectual disability. She also specializes in child and adolescent specific issues: behavioral problems, ADHD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relational issues, attachment, trauma, and adjustment/life changes. She has additional training in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and adolescents, and has been certified as a Child Life Specialist. Besides counseling, she is also available to provide IQ and ADHD testing. She also partners with Urban Purpose Ministries to provide counseling and mental health consulting for the people they serve.

Gwendolyn Crumpton also serves in the capacity of Managing Director of Birmingham Counseling & Wellness. She has a Specialist in Education degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky, a Master’s Degree in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Montevallo. She is married to her college sweetheart and has two children. In her free time, Gwen loves to cook, organize, read, and attempt to keep up with her two young children.
